Try my recipe for this Jaffa drizzle loaf cake, it’s refreshing and just so tasty! It’s a bit different, but the flavour will impress your guests.

It’s simple to make and perfect to enjoy as a summer afternoon treat.
Ingredients-
Loaf:
200g caster sugar
150g unsalted butter
200g self raising flour
2tbsp milk
3 medium eggs
1 orange zest and juice
Drizzle:
The juice of 2 oranges
60g caster sugar
Method-
Preheat oven 180c/fan 160c/ gas4
Step1) Line a loaf tin with baking parchment, then in a bowl cream together the sugar and butter until smooth. Add it the eggs one by one, beating as you go, then sift in the flour, and finally add the orange zest and juice and mix well to combine.
Step2) Pour the mixture evenly into the loaf tin and bake for 40 minutes or until risen and golden and when a folk inserted comes clean.
Step3) In a bowl mix together the juice of the two oranges and the sugar to form a drizzle, then folk holes in the top of the loaf and generously pour the drizzle mix over the cake and leave to set. Once set the cake is ready to serve, or you can drizzle chocolate over to decorate like I did in the picture above. Hope you enjoy!
